MEDW launched a new project: ThreeVotes

In collaboration with a number of universities (University of Montreal, McGill, Carleton and Western Ontario), and media and other organizations (CSDC, Toronto Star, Vote Compass, Bell Chair in Parliamentary Democracy), MEDW has engaged in a new project that aims to analyze how respondents would vote under three electoral systems in Ontario. The project, THREE VOTES ONTARIO, has established a new webpage where Ontario voters can vote under three electoral systems, namely First Past the Post, The Alternative Vote and Proportional Representation. Citizens were directed to the project website: http://www.threeontariovotes.ca, and then they vote. The project website also included information about the different electoral systems with concrete examples so that the respondents were informed about these electoral systems before answering the questions. After voting under the three electoral systems, the respondents are invited to answer a short questionnaire.
